Job Title: Government Network Sr. Specialist

Division: ICT Government Programs

Job Description:

This role is to strategically design and implement the Government Network (GN) architectures and assist the GN team in managing the GN vendor and assess any proposed solutions for arising technical difficulties

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Must understand, design and implement solutions based on multiple vendor technologies
• Develop and generate conceptual, logical and physical network architectures, resulting documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture
• Evaluate large scale projects to ensure cost –effective and efficient operations and measures feasibility of various approaches
• Evaluate complex networking technologies to understand their potential and recommends future direction
• Research technological advancements to ensure that networking solutions are continuously improved, supported and aligned with best standards
• Participate as the lead Networking subject matter expert in the development of solutions in support of new business and application expansion

Desirable Skills and Competencies:

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, preferably with ISP service provide
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any degree in engineering
• Experience with enterprise network design including WAN and LAN topologies based mainly on CISCO technology
• Network troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Firewall configuration and IPS devices
• Experience with design, configuration, and support of latest Networking technologies (Data, voice and video)
• Strong security experience and familiarity with best security standards
