IIC and ictQATAR Highlight the Importance of Digital Communications Literacy
The International Institute of Communications (IIC), in association with ictQATAR, will hold the Digital Communications Literacy Forum on Tuesday, 9 February 2010 at the Sharq Village & Spa (Al-Dasha Hall), Ras Abboud Street, Al-Khulaifait, Doha, Qatar.
This important one-day forum examines the role which digital literacy can play in the development of the new communications environment in the Middle East region and explores ways in which it can be addressed that create advantage to both economic and social objectives.
It looks across the spectrum of issues from industry initiatives, the development of social and cultural aims, the protection of minors and others from inappropriate material as well as the role of formal learning.
The forum will feature renowned speakers from around the world, including experts from the European Union, the World Internet Project, BBC, Al Jazeera, Vodafone and more.
